Love conquers all, no šŸ§

Love conquers all. But does it…& in your opinion what’s the true sentiment and meaning behind the saying. A lover, friendships, family, situationship, a broken friendship, a broken relationship. If it’s broken can love be enough to mend it? Is it possible that love has the ability to win or is it that we love ourselves so much that when questioned if love conquers all, that our love for ourselves is the answer. Perception is everything.

Personally, there’s irony behind it. It’s bold, direct,  reflective & so much more. When I had originally started to write I had intentions that the first letter of each word started with a letter of the saying ā€œLove Conquers Allā€. Except life had alternative arrangements, I needed to take a step back from writing until the PTSD wasn’t so intensifying and learning the changes my life was taking. However, surprisingly last night when I went to check how it’s spelled out, it truly doesn’t vary with the exception of a letter or two. People always say situationsships hurt, but nobody talks about that real first relationship after a divorce and how crushing that can be for people. People come and go in our lives, but there’s always a lesson to be learned if we take the time to look and reason within ourselves. Ultimately, without loving ourselves will we be able to conquer life or will you feel forced to do so. I may hate my condition, but I’ve learned to love who I am because of the epic change it’s brought to my life. Recently, someone close to me said I use my medical condition to trump others, in their opinion that might be valid, do I know that I’ve never done so nor would I …yeah, but it doesn’t make me question how they’ve viewed me. Of course it does, this is where that suppression thing I’m really good at starts taking over. & honestly I shouldn’t let it.

If someone asked me if I still believed that ā€œlove conquers allā€ā€¦..my answer would likely be no.

  1. Love conquers all despite the bad experiences we experience. For me it’s mutual and healthy love that conquers all. The other experiences can serve as lessons learned. And here also self love is crucial, if it’s hard, no harm from taking care of our mental health so we can restore self love as a beginning to other love.
What others say don’t define us. We know who we are and why we act in certain way. Thank you for sharing šŸ™šŸ»

    1. I love your interaction and viewpoints, it allows for different perspectives and views to be appreciated. You are so true on lessons learned, we’re always learning by our choices. Without self love are we able to love others? I know my story is all over the place but I try to do flashbacks and then the current.

      1. What I loved the most in the blogging world was the genuine interactions. Unfortunately I left for years, but before I needed a day to answer all people on my blog and it was great. Appreciate your kind words, I always speak my mind and express what I feel. Wish you all the best in your journey šŸ™šŸ»

  2. Self-Love is an important dimension of 3-dimensional love. If I hate myself, it would be very difficult to love another person. As you mention, loving another person is not always a smooth experience. If I am the Subject expressing love, I also desire to be the Object receiving the feelings of love. There is a Mismatch in the feelings expressed and the feelings returned. If the Mismatch is overwhelming, the interpersonal relationship utterly fails. So, I bring in the third dimension called God’s love. This dimension does not demand that I should be the Subject or the Object of the given love relationship. God’s love is unconditioned. It goes beyond good and evil. I visualize it like the Fundamental Forces operating nature. We describe Gravitation as a force of attraction and I think of it as love for it overcomes the harsh realities of the planet earth on whose surface I exist. It is just impossible to entertain any feelings of love or even hate if I am experiencing the speed of the very fast spinning earth. To that extent, God’s love helps me to love myself and also love another person as I have no perception of the reality of this world which spins giving no chance to either love or hate.
